In his teenage years, he sneaked his guitar into the renowned blues club, The Oxford, known as one of the best on the West Coast, and sat in with some great  players. Years later, he pursued his passion for guitar and composition  at Cornish College of the Arts, where he studied under the unconventional guidance of saxophonist and composer Denney Goodhew.

As a composer and performing artist, Alexander has collaborated with esteemed musicians such as Mara Gearman (Seattle Symphony), The Saint Helens String Quartet, The Corigliano Quartet, and Adam Stern (Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra). He has also showcased his guitar skills and frontman abilities at various festivals and clubs in Washington, sharing the stage with renowned musicians like Rafe Pearlman, CD Woodbury, Tim Lerch, and Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), Lynn Sorensen (Bad Company, Paul Rodgers), and Roger Fisher( Heart).
